Inspiration

Today was, lets just say one of the rougher days lately. Most often I go to a park or a place with a lot of nature to process through whatever I'm dealing with.

My adventure today was on a wooden swing in a random park where I live. FIghting through the confusion, anger, sadness, and mostly fear I couldn't help but look up. The sky was beautiful blue and the clouds were so puffy and white as they moved pretty quickly across the vivid sky. As my eyes searched over such beauty I saw two birds (hawks I think) soaring so high that they eventually got lost in the clouds. The Lord told me that I was meant to fly; not just flutter around on the earth, but SOAR. God encouraged me that the I am limitless and can indeed soar with the clouds. It was so crazy because air planes were right up there with these birds... how awesome would it be to FLY so FREE so HIGH... no limits.

If God would give a bunch of birds such an awesome capacity for freedom, how much more does He have for us who are made in His image and have His very Spirit swelling inside of us? ? ? ? ?

In the midst of crazy times... God is there to lift us up and fill us up!!

Hello Rachel!

I am sooo glad I came across your blog! :-) I have been reading your blog and I have found all of your posts very inspiring. This particularly post ("Inspiration") has been particularly inspiring for me, since I have also been in the situation you described.

Sometimes, it is so easy to see all the "negative" things that surround us and to oversee the "positive" that happen daily in our lives. I believe that only through our faith in Christ can we hold on truthfully to His Word and to the promises He has given us. He is a faithful and loving God. We are always under His wings. This surely is very comforting for our lives.

The eagle is also a very significant type of bird (like the one in the picture you posted). Did you know that the eagle is one of the birds that fly the highest? When they are in the process of physical transformation, they fly very very high, to very high places. In those places, they loose their feathers, which is something very painful. Also, their beak is polished, through the constant rubbing of their beak against hard stone. This is very painful for the eagle, but is a necessary process for them to grow somehow stronger and to continue to be able to fly high and do all the things they are called to do. I thing this is a very accurate analogy for our lives. Sometimes God makes us go through different processes that seem to be painful. The good news is that God Himself is with us through these hard processes. God will never let go of our hand. After God takes us out of these processes, we come out stronger and polished! Sure, the rubbing of our beak hurt a lot, but now our mouth is purified and ready to speak what God called us to speak, in the right moment and in the right time.

I agree completely with you when you say "In the midst of crazy times... God is there to lift us up and fill us up!!"

With God, the outcome of all things are always to lift us up and to train us more and more to do the work He has called us to do.

I haven't got the privilege to meet you, but I really bless your life, and hope that every year that passes God continues to work more and more with your life...polishing you more and more, until the very reflect of God can be seen in every aspect of your life.

GOD BLESS YOU!!!
